Adding Blog Behind Portfolios

Hi guys

Used to use WordPress many years ago and after coming back it’s significantly changed and so I’m struggling. Started to use portfolio’s today and I love them. However I’m now confused as to how to access my ‘blog’.

You can see on the demo of the site ( https://orvisdemo.wordpress.com/ ) that there is a link in the top right hand corner to a blog using a /blog link. This separates it from the portfolio on the front page which is exactly what I’d like.

My site is http://www.longroadphotography.com and I’d really love it to look exactly like the demo Ie. The landing page is my portfolios page and to get to my blog you have to click the blog link in the top right.

Any tips on how I can get the blog running in the background via a link in that menu would be most appreciated. I have a feeling it’s quite simple but it’s been too long.
