Adding attributes to product data

    Hi there,

    I’m new to woo commerce and didn’t find anything in the documentation on how to add additional properties/attributes to a product. I’m trying to setup a book store and I can’t find a way of adding default fields (such as adding author information for each product added) to be entered and displayed when viewing a product. Would this be added as a custom field, to product data or something similar?

    do you not see the “attributes” tab when adding/editing the products?
    if you want to add terms to the attributes or create more attributes, that’s under products>attributes.

    Thank you. I tried that before but was obviously doing something very wrong.
