Hi, I did not see a related topic here.

My question is – I want to customize this nice, simple guestbook by adding a few additional fields to the “reply” form. A couple of them are going to be drop-list “select” fields, etc. So, I wanted to know if I can do this from the admin panel item under “guestbook settings”, or am I going to need to actually code it myself in the guestbook’s include modules?

    Other than that,

I really like the simple interface, though it took me a bit to figure out where certain settings were found. I think it integrates well, especially with the twenty-fourteen theme, and looks nice in “mobile” simulated display!

I am also willing to help with some development ideas of it – if you are open to that. 😉

  • Hi Dragon’s Eye, I was also looking for this option and found this super good tutorial: http://wpengineer.com/2214/adding-input-fields-to-the-comment-form/

    It worked for me.
I’ve added the field “Reis” and the output is [author name] over [reis]

    Hi, “kingmaico”.

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the informative link. That info would be good for a future project of mine, but not quite for this case (yet). I may have to go and do some recoding and customization of the plug-in, myself. There are a few other things about it that I wish to change, like making it more user-friendly and customizable (as far as styling, etc.). The few fields I wanted to add were going to be droplists where the data would be fed from entries stored in the database, so as to be updateable and expandable (like certain user-desired choices, if they did not already appear in the list).

    Again,

Thank you for the feedback. I will look a little more into the other option you suggested.

    – Jim
