Sorry not sure what your’e saying?

    Hi whistlerkid,

Silly mistake on our end. We meant that you may add a link in your custom field, or an a HTML tag (for links, like you just did).

Ok, does this mean that the text boxes are html editors? So I can enter something like Click here to buy. and it will show up as a link within the text? I’m trying to do this right now with a custom field but the custom field is not displaying on the product page.

    Hi whistlerkid,

Yes, that is what it means. The message should display properly with a link. Have you made sure to set the “Display” to one or all of the catalog views, and also set it in the Tabbed Layout? Upon creating the custom field, you are prompted to set those.

Also, note that you may simply link your products to another link in the “Product Link” field of your products. Upon clicking the product on your thumbnail view, instead of sending your customers to the product page, it would send them to that particular page instead.

    Hope this helps you!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

No, I have not set it up to show in the display views or thumbnail view. This is because I ONLY want the custom fields to show up on the product page. How do I do this? None of the above options seem to let this happen.

    Hi whistlerkid,

Then, you should set the display to “None” and set “Display in Tabbed Layout” as “Yes”. Within your Options > Premium > “Product page type”, set it to “Tabbed Product page”.

They should now be displayed. Let us know how it works out, and how it looks like now. If there are anymore issues, it will be faster for us to know what is going wrong. 🙂

No that has changed the layout and completely and I still cannot see my custom fields.

For example, I have uploaded a product to the catalogue and have added a field called ‘our thoughts’. I have populated this field in the product page but there is no reference to it on the actual product page.

Also, the tabbed layout looks terrible. There’s a random black dot next to the product details tab as shown here http://directory.pickandpaleo.co.nz/directory/product/cocoa-nut/?

HELP!? what can I do next?

    Hi,

“Our thoughts” is found under Additional information, right after “Author”. All categories, sub-categories, tags, and custom fields are to be displayed in the additional information if they have been set to be shown.

The product details is the description given to your product. If you do not want it, please remove the tab by adding the following custom CSS:

    .upcp-tabbed-description-menu {display:none;}
