Add/Edit product issues

    Hi,

    Having several issues with the new version.

    When editing/adding a product, I cannot enter into text into the description or short description, you can’t click in the box to type text. Can’t edit permalink, can’t add pictures.

    I can’t seem to change featured image anymore on my products, it opens the select image window in the same tab so takes you to a new location instead of a pop up, when I click “insert into post” on the selected image, I just get a white page it doesn’t redirect back to the post to edit.

    Yoast SEO won’t work on the products now either, but I guess that’s unrelated to you guys.

    Any help would be great.

    But looks like WC team wants us to contact plugin and theme (that we are using )developers to fix issues.

    If it’s Yoast I think their latest update resolves. 4.5?

    Hi Mike,

    I have the latest version of Yoast and it’s not resolved anything. Yoast doesn’t work at all on my product pages anymore despite having 4.5.

    Share your system status report. Could be from another plugin.

    Or in chrome, View > Developer > Javascript console and give me the full error message.

    Sorry I took a moment to consume food since I’ve been on this forum all day :p

    I don’t see anything. Did you also try the javascript console? Or viewing the page source and seeing where the select2 library is coming from.

    I do have a notice at the top of my wordpress that says..

    Your theme (Avada) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

    Is that related do you think? I’m far from an expert at this.

    Can you turn off WordPress SEO? Some users are reporting a conflict, even though I confirmed it uses select2 4 which is odd. https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/6942
