Add user to custom group

    My site adds the users to the public group by default when they sign up. Is it possible to add users by default to different groups once they sign up, without using the form?
    I don’t wanna use the form because they need to get compulsory emails.

    By default plugin will add user to default group Public.

    No, you would need to use Advanced Form to allow user to select the group (or you would need to manually change group after they sign up).
