add table quicktag in tinymce

I want to add the table row to the wysiwyg interface. I put the plugin to the plugin-folder, added ‘table’ to the plugins row and ‘tablecontrol’ to the buttons row in tiny_mce_gzip.php. That makes the table buttons show up in the editor and also the popup works when I press the ‘add table’ button. I can edit all modifications but when I press the insert button nothing happens – no table is added to the editor.

What’s wrong here?
