Add Search to Header with Inline Layout

With the Storefront Theme if you choose the inline layout option, it automatically removes the search bar from the header. I would like to keep it, and put it either above or below the Cart area of the header. Is there a way to do this? The other layouts do not remove the search bar but I just don’t like those as much. Thanks.
