'Add new plugin' error message

    Have just tried to ‘add new plugin’. I get this message: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration”.

    I have tried disabling all plugins and changing the theme to a basic 2015 but I still get the same message. I can see the list of installed plugins OK.

    We have not recently made any updates to the site. Everything else seems to be working fine, front and backend.

    None of my other sites, also recently updated to 4.1, have the same problem.

    Any ideas please?

    This error is likely due to an issue with yours’/ hosts’ server. If your site is on a remote server, try contacting your hosting provider about this.

    Thanks Tara, you’re right. The host has dealt with it.
