• I’m a new user, and have had the Add Media problem since the beginning with wordpress, which for me has been two weeks. I have looked through all/most of the posts I can find and have tried every suggestion that I understood (even editing php). I have completed all the steps listed on:
    [closed] Troubleshooting WordPress 3.5 Master List (4 posts)

    as well as digging deeper, even adding: define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); in my wp-config.php file just before require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

    All to no avail. My frustration level is high as this was ‘supposed to be easy’ and I see the potential, but can’t reach the shelf.

    I use Bluehost as my site host.
    I don’t have any plugins activated or themes installed (except those with core wordpress install).
    I use chrome to view and edit and cyberduck to ftp.

    ANY form of help would be great. I just want to have my images show, and eventually have a gallery.
    Thanks

    Oh, and can I load and turn on Jetpack plugin to stop spam comments? Or is that to much going at once while we troubleshoot?

    Try with Twenty Twelve theme.
    Yes, you can run Jetpack when NOT troubleshooting. It takes only seconds to turn it on and off.

    It’s already running on twenty twelve. Seems to be okay with add media, can I try changing themes to a free one? or something from wordpress?

    Thanks again

    If you can add media when using Twenty Twelve theme, you must be able to add media with any other good theme. So, you may try with other themes. I would recommend themes from WordPress because they are well-tested and you can easily get support if you run into problems.
