    Hello World 🙂

I’m trying to add liters instead of grams for some of the products on my site. How do I do this or which plugin should I use?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @cfrederic38,

I understand you’d like to use liters instead of grams for some of your products, and I’ll help guide you on how to achieve that. By default, WooCommerce allows you to set a global weight unit under WooCommerce → Settings → Products → General, but this applies store-wide. If you only want specific products to display liters, you’ll need a way to customize units on a per-product basis.

One option is to use a plugin like Custom Product Tabs or WooCommerce Product Add-Ons to add a custom field where you can specify liters. Another popular choice is the WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator extension, which is built specifically for stores selling items by volume, area, weight, or other units. You can read more here: https://woocommerce.com/products/measurement-price-calculator

This way, you’ll have flexibility to sell some items in grams and others in liters without affecting your entire catalog.

Feel free to let us know how it goes, or feel free to let us know if you run into any other problem.

    Hello LovingBro,

Thank you for your feedback 😉

However, I’m having a display issue after installing “Custom Product Tabs”.

Indeed, in the table below, my 250 ml bottle is displayed with the correct price. Very good.

However, the price display above the tables is completely incorrect. It displays “€6.50 per ml”. This would mean that my bottle costs €6.50 x 250 ml! Help ! 🙂 Sorry, I can’t insert my screenshot.

I don’t want it to display “per ml” because that distorts the understanding of the price. What should I do?

Thank you very much for your attention 🙂

    Hi @cfrederic38,

Thanks for getting back and for clarifying. I know integrations like this can sometimes be tricky, but the best step is to reach out directly to the plugin’s support team since each plugin has its own dedicated forum.

For the Custom Product Tabs, please open a topic on the right forum based on the plugin you’re using since both has the same name on .org plugin directory.

This way you’ll get the most accurate help from the developers who know the plugin best.

    Hi Moses,

So I tried contacting support, but I couldn’t create an account without purchasing the extension.

After completing this step, I just noticed that this plugin isn’t supported by another discount calculator plugin.

So I deleted it because when a technical support service becomes unbearable to contact, I delete the extension! 😉

    Hi @cfrederic38,

Thanks for getting back. Just to clarify, the links I shared are public support forums for the plugin. You don’t need to purchase the plugin or create a separate account — having a WordPress.org account is enough, since the plugin has a free version (which I assume you’re using).

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved since the issue isn’t directly related to WooCommerce. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out or open a new topic and we’ll be glad to help.
