Add Gallery into post fails

    If I click in a post on the ‘add gallery’ icon, select the gallery (with images), then ‘show as’ and select a template (ex: slideshow), upon clicking ‘insert’, the modal reloads and simply displays ‘0’. the shortcode isn’t added to the web content.

    the gallery work if adding the shortcode manually, however I have a non-tech user using the site and the UI would be better

    Let’s try to delete NextGen Gallery and re-install that plugin again.
    If the problem persists, you might like to check for an existing conflict.

    Even in the case you have not changed your plugins, any update could cause a conflict, and we should replicate those.

    1.- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.
    2.- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
    3.- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.
