Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Add / edit button links with Tiny MCE not working

  • Hello,

I’m using WordPress SEO by Yoast with other activated pluggins (cforms,NextGEN Gallery,JJ NextGen JQuery Slider,Members,TinyMCE Advanced,WordPress Database Backup,WPML Multilingual CMS).

Everything works fine but the add/edit button links with Tiny MCE is not working. If I deactivate the WordPress SEO pluggin, the Add/Edit button links works…

The error (firebug) is : “c.wpdialog is not a function”

What I’ve done (without solving the issue)

    – activated WordPress SEO and deactivated the other plugins
    – cleared cache
    – deleted and reinstalled the WordPress SEO pluggin

Well, before spent many time to solve this problem I prefer to know if there is a known issue 🙂

Thanks a lot lot lot lot !

I can’t replicate this issue unfortunately, but I’m guessing it’s the combination with TinyMCE advanced. Could you check whether disabling that fixes it? Makes it easier for me to debug it and fix it 🙂

    Hello,

    Thanks for the post.
    I’ve tried this :

    – WordPress SEO disabled first
    – check if links button works : yes
    – disabled TinyMCE advanced
    – check if links button works : yes
    – activated WordPress SEO with TinyMCE advanced disabled
    – check if links button works : no 🙁
    – reactivate TinyMCE advanced
    – check if links button works : no 🙁
    – disabled WordPress SEO
    – check if links button works : yes

Yes, it’s a conflict between TinyMCE advanced and your great WordPress SEO.

    I can’t survive without WordPress SEO 🙂 …

    Thanks for your patience.

    same issue here.
tried a fresh and clean local install of wordpress and when WordPress SEO is activated no more add/edit link 🙁

    hmmmmm,

It’s strange, because after verification, some others personal client’s wordpress site with WordPress SEO + Tiny advanced MCE work fine…

In those sites, the last release of WordPress SEO fixed well the issue of CSS in the link edit window.

    Strange…

    tiny advanced works.
tiny “default” don’t, no “popup” window.

Did you make sure the update overwrote all the files correctly? It really should work now.

I’ll check it, but I think yes… hold on 🙂

    Same issue here:

after upgrated WordPress SEO to last version 0.4.2 I started having js errors i my firefox error console.

I found out that it was not a conflict with another plugin, but with the custom jQuery Ui Library (http://jqueryui.com) i’m using in my template (i’m using datepicker in backend).

I’ll try to update or change my jQuery Ui configuration and then I’ll keep you posted.

Hey Bluantinoo, did that work for you? I have the same problem and I also think it must be kind of a jquery-incombatility… If it worked, which files did you update or change?

    Please post a new topic.

@valesauer: I’ve just gave up using jqueryUi library.
all i needed was the datepicker and i solved changing the library.
Now i’m using jquery tools by flowplayer (http://flowplayer.org/tools/) and everything is working fine.
