Actual menu/links disappear randomly

Whilst this plugin is great the actual menu links seem to appear and disappear at random. They especially do so when one is viewing a blog with the menu on an iPad on portrait then shifting to landscape. The slide-out ‘background’ of the menu stays, but the text/links don’t.
Also, the entire menu disappears leaving the original non-hamburger menu when one navigates to a different page/clicks a link.
Will this be fixed at all or is there a customisation option I’ve perhaps mixed?
