    How do I know which theme that is on my account is the active theme. I mean in the files or setups. What changes when i activate a new theme?

    What in the files is the dashboard looking at. I want to know in the files not using the dashboard

    The files for your themes are in wp-content/themes. To view them, use the file manager app of your hosting control panel. However, none are designated there as “active”. You set and see the active theme in the dashboard; it’s stored in the wp_options table of your database. When you change to a new theme, WP uses the theme files you point to.
