Active Theme and Background Theme?

    Hi,
    I wanna edit a new theme, but not take the website down (which has the current theme activated). Can I edit and view another theme, lets say in a subfolder or something, and edit it while viewing how it would look like on the website but keep the current theme active for all other viewers?
