Activating specific slides per page

Is there a way to select a particular slide as active on a particular page? Either with PHP or Javascript?

For example, I have 2 pages and 2 slides in the slider. On Page 1, I want the first slide to be active on page load (default behavior). On Page 2, I want the second slide to be active.
