Activate Plugin Error Message

    Once I was able to upload the Sharedaddy plugin I got the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/23/d91537928/htdocs/sitename/sitename/wp-content/plugins/sharedaddy/sharing.php on line 4

    Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Delete the sharedaddy plugin. If necessary, use FTP (or use whatever file management application your host provides) to delete the plugin’s folder in wp-content/plugins.
