Wondering if anyone has any more on this. The managing of accounts receivable normally involves the tracking of both invoices and payments and partial payments. That means you might have a single payment (say a check) apply against more than one invoice and may not apply completely to an invoice ie. leave a partial amount owing on an invoice.
