That link is not a WordPress website. Looks like a starter site with your hosting service.

You may want to ask them about it.

Edit: Also, your account for your WordPress site stays on your WordPress site. It doesn’t translate here, to the forum, or to any other site. Each WordPress site is an island, with its own user accounts.

So the issue all started when you were trying to move from http to https, right?

May i ask how you did the SSL integration to be able to provide answer

Hi Samuel, thank you for your response, and again apologies for my ignorance. I can still access my hosting service (cDmon), and it doesn’t seem to be an issue on their side, but I am opening a ticket with them to check, just in case. However, I used to be able to login (using login.wordpress.org) and now it cant even find my email address, that’s what is confusing me, or at least one of the many things.

Hi Tuham, thank you for your response,

In order to do the SSL integration I followed the instructions in this link (https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/) and it all seemed to go fine, downloaded the plugin and then click on the box to reload the website using http instead of https, which is when it all failed. I;m thinking that it could be that I hadn’t created the SSL correctly, but now not only I can access my website, I can’t even access the editor to turn it back to http. I’m lost, do you have any ideas?

    Thanks again,

Update, my web hosting company was able to help me out an the site seems to be back up and running.

Thank you both for taking the time to try to assist.

I’m glad you solved your issue, but allow me to clarify this just in case.

The login.wordpress.org page logs in here, to this site, at https://wordpress.org.

It does not log you in to anywhere else. It cannot log you into your own site. It cannot log you into any WordPress site elsewhere. It only logs into this community and the associated properties.

Additionally, it doesn’t know your email address because your own site will know that, but it does not share it with us. Creating a WordPress install somewhere does not create an account here on wordpress.org. Even though the login screens look the same across more or less all WordPress sites, they’re not the same, and you should look closely at the URL bar in your browser when you log in, lest you inadvertently give somebody the password to your own site.
