Account Deleted

My wordpress.org account has been deleted. I no longer want to use this user name so I created another user name and wanted this one to be deactivated or deleted. Instead, my new account was disabled without notification or explanation. I think it’s unjust and it would make more sense to allow your users to change their username to avoid this issue. It seems I’m not the only one with this problem. You claim others’ of “sock puppetry” when this is not the case at all. Most users just change their brand or their business and would like to have the option for their accounts to reflect this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated….
