I wanted to add in the social networking links to my site http://www.dawsonis.com. It kept adding “www.dawsonis.com” to my link /www.facebook.com/dawsonis which was directing it to a page that didn’t exist. So…I hit the reset all options button on the page where you add in the links. Well…this reset the entire site, not just the social links. My entire site is almost completely gone. Is there any way to revert it back. 🙁

  • Hello,

You indeed hit the option to reset all theme options.
Have you been making backups of your website database?
Without a backup it will be difficult to recover the lost data.

For future reference, to resolve the link issue, add “http://” or “https://” to your links so that the website link does not get returned in the url.

    Thanks,

Thanks Jordan – I have the site hosted with GoDaddy as a managed acct…so hopefully they are doing the back ups. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the heads up on the link fix. 🙂

Oh Thank God. And this is why I LOVE GoDaddy. I went right into the account in GoDaddy and they had back up versions for the last couple of month. All I had to do was hit restore from yesterday and BOOM…all fixed. Whew – Panic Attack thwarted. 🙂
