• Hi,
I.ve received a few meails and emails from https://resolve.picrights.com/ to pay a fee for using pictures on my website without permission.

Fair enough … they said at the beginning to delete the pics or to pay.

My choice was to delete the pictures.

    But the letters didn’t stop.

Today I have a new one from a lawyer who still wants money. for the same, even though the pic do not exist anymore.

His/hers website is [redacted by moderator]

All seems ok, but I have very deep suspicions that this all is fraud.

Every time they give a different URL to the pictures.

Today the URL is worldartistmanahement.com/wp-adntent/uploads and No of the picture ( which is deleted long time ago).

Is it possible other people to have such a deep access to my website, please?

    isn’t wp-content only available for admin’s access?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We cannot offer legal advice, only tech support. Images uploaded to your site live in wp-content/uploads/something and are visible on the web. If you’ve deleted the image and get a 404 when trying to view it, it’s gone.

In another topic, you asked “Is it possible other people to have an access to wp-content/uploads, if they have no access to the background?”

    Huh?

Do you mean “can they add to it”? No, not unless you give them a login and permission to upload. Can they see the contents? Yes, if they have the links.

A thought: If one searches for your site, there’s probably a Google cache. You may want to removed those images/pages from Google: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6332384
