Access key not valid

    Version 6.85. This just started today. Help!

    Access key is not valid, update the plugin settings. Anti-Spam by CleanTalk.Anti-Spam by CleanTalkNotifications Aug 07 2026 12:38:02: Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received Aug 07 2026 12:38:02: Error occurred while Access key validating. Testing is failed. Please check the Access key.You can get support any time here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/cleantalk-spam-protect.

    Ok. I just re-entered the Access key and pressed save. The error went away. Do I need check something else?

    Hello @avfadagio,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    The message was caused by a temporary connection timeout while the plugin was checking your account status, so the Access Key could not be validated at that moment.

    Since you saved the Access Key again and the error has disappeared, there is nothing else you need to check for now.

    If you notice the same message again or encounter any other issues, please let us know.
