Hi,

Just noticing a problem with the accents of my post title being corrupted in the Google preview (sorry, not sure if it was there before of if yesterday’s update broke something – browser: firefox quantum).

Ex: Certifié Microsoft Éducateur
CertifiÃ© Microsoft Ãducateur

Didn’t change any encoding settings… everything seems to be UTF-8

On my other site I haven’t updated to the new version and accents seem OK in the google preview.

Hi Benjamin,

Confirmed that the version from last week (2.5, before the xml sitemap patch) broke the encoding.
I replaced the seo plugin folder with the one from another site that I hadn’t upgraded yet (2.4), and the google preview works again with accents.

Haven’t tried with 2.5.2 yet.

Hi,
don’t worry the encoding issue you have doesn’t affect your title and meta description in source code.
With SEOPress 2.5, we generate the Google Snippet Preview by making a request to your real page to get the true metas.

I’m using OVH too (cloud instances), and I can’t reproduce the bug.
