Abstract out login

    Looking at WordPress but wondering if the authentication (login) module is abstracted out sufficiently such that a site with an existing authentication system could use the existing system and not WordPress’s so users don’t have to use multiple sets of credentials on a single site? Has anyone done this?

    Probably. You can also setup the usernames and passwords to be the same as the ones they are using in the existing system, to make life easier.
