About VAT line on Invoice
-
Hello, I was trying your plugin and I found out I need some small changes.
1 – Can the “VAT” be changed to “MVA” on the tax line that appears on the invoice
2 – Eventually could it show the “TAX NAME” that I can set on Woocommerce settings instead for “VAT”. Like, on Standard taxes I put the name “MVA 25%” and on Zero Rate I place “MVA 0% Export”This is very important here so my Invoices are following the Norwegian regulations from Jan. 2017..
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards

Hi @magicurty,
Our plugin should already automatically take the WooCommerce Tax Name and display it on the grand total. If you recently changed your tax name this change only applies on orders made after you changed your tax name.
If you want more control over the data on your documents and their labels I would recommend purchasing our Premium Templates extension. This gives you access to our Customizer.
I hope this helps!
Okay will try that, thanks!
Sorry man but here only shows “VAT” on the Total of the invoice…
Subtotal kr20.400,00
Shipping kr236,00 via
Norgespakke
VAT kr5.159,00
Total kr25.795,00The shipping is correct and get the shipping name, but not the taxes.
I have called “MVA 25%” on the Tax Name field for the Standard tax.
Also set “Export 0%” for the Zero Rate and orders outside Norway.Hi @magicurty,
Our free version does not create a separate VAT line in the totals out of the box. Are you using one of our paid extensions or a custom template to create the VAT line? If you are already a paying customer I would have to ask you to send your question to support@wpovernight.com since we are not allowed to give premium support on this forum. 🙂

Also for the order outsite is same “VAT” on the invoice—
Subtotal €2.450,00
Shipping €67,74 via
CarryOnCash
VAT €0,00
Total €2.517,74I am testing the free version. Can it be done by creating a custom template?
I was going to try that first. I have a child theme already.Hi! You must either be using a different PDF invoice plugin, or another plugin is adding this to the totals. The default output from the Simple template of this plugin is identical to what you see in the WooCommerce emails (without any custom plugins that alter these totals):

WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips
Create, print & email PDF invoices & packing slips for WooCommerce orders.
Version 2.1.9 | By Ewout Fernhout | View details | Documentation | Support ForumLooks like it’s your plugin, or am I wrong?
Also, have deactivated all plugins, just let Woocommerce and Paypal Braintree.
Same result on invoice
Subtotal kr6.800,00
Shipping kr0,00 via Henting i
Våle (Re)
VAT kr1.700,00
Total kr8.500,00here is a screenshot of the invoice:

That’s definitely this plugin. What do you see in the WooCommerce email (not the PDF)?
Hi Ewout and magicurty,
I have exactly the same problem, which is why I post in this thread.at the invoise I have a tax-line in the totals, but I can not change it. Even after changing the name of the tax rate, nothing happens (with new orders).
I have the free version and I am very happy with it, dispite this little change.
I would pay a one-time fee to support the developer, but not annually (Premium Templates).
Why the tax name doesn’t change?
Did you find a solution, magicurty?@lenalavendel
Could you upload a screenshot of the PDF and a screenshot of the order totals from that same order so we can compare the two? What tax names do you see in the emails? (if you could include a screenshot of that too, that’d be even more helpful)
If you don’t have somewhere to upload, imgur.com works well.Hello, I’m back and here are my screenshots.
https://imgur.com/Cyi1rlH
https://imgur.com/f9eHEnv
https://imgur.com/lTrI5pQThe invoice-pdf have to contain “inkl. 19% MwSt.” Unfortunately, the “19%” is important.
Thank you in advance! Thanks for uploading those screenshots, that clears up a few things.
As you can see the email shows the same totals as the invoice. The separate line for the MwSt. in the totals is not the default output from WooCommerce, which would say “Gesamt: €30.49 (inkl. €4.15 19% MwSt.)” in one line and not a separate line.
This means that there’s another plugin modifying the totals, I think it may be WooCommerce Germanized doing this. Can you try the output with that plugin disabled (you can enable it again after testing of course)? If it is indeed that plugin doing this, I recommend contacting the developers to see if they can help you get the rate to display. If it displays in the email, the PDF will also automatically reflect this.Another thing you will want to check is that under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Display tax totals (WooCommerce > Einstellungen > Mehrwertsteuer > Summe der Steuern anzeigen), you have set this to Itemized (Aufgeschlüsselt)
Let us know if you have any further questions about this!
