    Hello

25 days ago, I migrate to TSF from Yoast. Most of the community discussion yoast bug about media URL index separately.

I changed robots.txt file from cPanel root folder Like this –

    ————
    Sitemap:https://mydomain.com/sitemap.xml
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
    ———–
    Only changed sitemap path.

I search on google.com like this site:mydomain.com and notice everything is fine and there is no media URL index in separately.

But In Search Console, I find this issue. Submitted 91 URL but Indexed 161 URL. Screenshot – https://prnt.sc/js80di

I am not sure what should I do?

Note – I’m also apologies If this topic is irrelevant but your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi @wpzones,

It takes time for Google to process the URLs; as they go by each one, they’ll update the number. When it goes down, then there’s something to worry about — which usually means the URLs aren’t canonical (http/https, www., trailing-slash, etc.).

Note that the number can reset when the sitemap is resubmitted.

To get the real picture of how many pages (including archives) are indexed, use the following query in Google Search:

    site:example.com

I hope this helps. Cheers 🙂
