- With Instant Indexing turned on, pages can be indexed within hours to a few days. Without it, indexing can take several weeks, depending on various factors like site authority and crawl budget.
- The built-in instant indexing feature in Rank Math is for the IndexNow API which supports submitting URLs to Bing or Yandex. For Google, you’ll have to install a separate plugin: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/
- No, Google does not penalize sites for using Instant Indexing. It’s a legitimate method provided by Google to help get your content indexed faster.

I installed the separate plugin. Are there additional steps I need to take or just install and turn on instant indexing in the main plugin and be all set?

Regarding the 403 error, please make sure the service account is listed as the Owner of the site in the Search Console.
