about identification

    I hosted my blog http://buildmusclesmart.com at Firepow.com and later on switched to the HostGator.When I add new content to my site I see it is showing up online.My question is: why do I have to use FileZilla and why I have to use it if everything is already active? Probably, I am looking funny, but,unfrotunately, I got a BD in Mechanical Engineering 32 years ago and never had any education at computers.
    And one more thing.How the Vendor will see that customers are coming from my site? On blogger I was inserting hoplink into my text. Here I do not.

    Please say: who did you register domain name with?
    Hostgator is the host of the blog now?
    How did you get your files to hostgator from old host? Did they do it for you?
    When you add content to which site? That content shows up where/ on which site?
