Sorry that you ran into issues here!
After setting that option, you may need to flush your server and browser caches to see the current state of change on the page.
It should appear on the main directory page–are you not seeing it there?
Can I get a link to your directory to see?

It looks like you might have done some pretty heavy customizations to the plugin to make it display like you did (which looks great, BTW!)
