A zip error occurred
-
My Updraft Plus report is stating that: “A zip error occurred – check your log for more details.” It’s been doing this every day for the past 2 weeks.
I’m unable to see anything strange though. When checking my googledrive my backups are there.
Can someone advise if that error is a problem and I should be checking something else?
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi,
Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.Regards,
BryleThank you,
I’m being unsuccessful with pastebin for some reason.
I’ve uploaded the file to dropbox, but need an email to send it to you?Hi,
Please share the link with us here.
Thanks,
BryleHi,
Sorry, I can’t view the link. It looks like it is a directly link. To get the shareable link from Dropbox, please check their guide here – https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/share-file-or-folder
Regards,
BryleApologies, I hope this works:

Hi,
“0206.633 (0) Binary zip: error (code: 14 – look it up in the Diagnostics section of the zip manual at http://infozip.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html#error-codes for interpretation… and also check that your hosting account quota is not full)”
It appears that your disk space quota has been reached. Please make sure there is more than enough space for the backups.
Regards,
BryleThanks for checking this. I’ve checked my space. I have 15GB available and have only used less than 2GB (this is on my googledrive, where I store the backups). Nonetheless, I deleted some stuff and a back up was done after that and it’s still giving the zip error?
Hi,
Is that shared or for this specific site only?
Can you also check that the file permission is set correctly? The following article on Smashing Magazine is a good guide as to the file permissions/ownerships that are required for WordPress: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/05/proper-wordpress-filesystem-permissions-ownerships/#file-and-folder-ownership-for-wordpress
Regards,
BryleHi,
The googledrive is only used for these backups.
Also – I’ve been doing these backups to this drive for a couple of months now and never had a problem before? Is there any other reason this error message is coming up? Should I be concerned in any way?
Hi,
Apologies for the late reply.
Can you try to delete any backups that is stored on your local sever and see if the error goes away?
Regards,
BryleHi, I’ve deleted all except the last two days (needed to keep something).
Did that before I responded previously. Still receiving the error message.Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
Can you download the backups temporarily to your PC for us to fully test that it has not something to do with the disk space issue. The backups can be re-uploaded back to your storage.
Regards,
BryleHi, I have the files backed-up on a separate drive (Although, they’re the ones with the zip error, so hoping they’re okay).
Just to confirm, are you talking about space on my drive to which I send the backups (there’s definitely no space issue there) or the plugin on my wordpress site?Hi,
