There should be no need for such a plugin at all. But as long as there are many hosting companies or so called “Free” offers that try to make a quick buck with SSL, it is nice to see such a sweet little helper that renders any dubious offers obsolete. The well documented plug works like a charm and you only need it once for all subdomains of your hosting. What else can you expect.
