A strange error

    Hi, I’ve been using WooCommerce for quite some time now. So far I have not encountered any error. Yesterday when I opened the worpdress dashboard, this error showed upfront:

    “Your installation of WooCommerce is incomplete. If you installed WooCommerce from GitHub, please refer to this document to set up your development environment.”

    Everything related to woocommerce has disappeared – products post type, products page, & single product page of course. It’s strange because I had installed woocommerce from wordpress repository months ago & was working fine until I encountered the error yesterday. Your support is highly appreciated.

    Hey @faizbangash,

    That definitely doesn’t sound right. Typically that’s an error we see when downloading directly from GitHub. The plugin won’t be “built” but is set up for development.

    I would suggest downloading a fresh copy of WooCommerce from here and installing it by going to Plugins > Add new in your dashboard.
