Better support on #irc ?

1. I have no problem reading/subscribing to my site using SharpReader. What sort of error are you getting?
2. What is the url for your feed(s)? Something tells me winfreepcs.com won’t lead me there…
This is not tech support, like those you get when you pay for a new OS or machine. We do try to solve problems that you are unable to solve at the end of a search or two. My intent is to say that you should probably try to see if your problem has been solved before requesting help, since all support here is voluntary. 🙂

I have all the feeds validated, css validated, and other RSS readers can recognize my weblog.
SharpReader doesn’t and I know that I’m no the only WP blogger with this kind of problem.
This is the last remaining problem I have with WP and I do want to stick with WP because of it’s simplicity.

Ok, in SharpReader I went to

..and it called up

…with no problems. So can’t say what the issue for you here is. Using 0.9.5.1.
I have the same version of Sharpreader.
I think at this point problem may be my computer.
I have XP with SP2 and .Net Framework 1.1
What do you have?

I installed Sharpreader in my other computer. To my surprise, I can pull up my weblog!!
Problem solved! It is my computer!
That’s all! WordPress I’ll keep!

I’m not even a wordpress user — I’m a regular weblog reader, and I use SharpReader as my aggregator. Noticed today that as of 9/27/04, two of the WordPress-based feeds I read stopped working and haven’t worked since.

Running Win2k, and SharpReader 0.9.5.1, which has been the newest version for quite some time. Those investigating this issue should look around the end of September for any changes that were made to the software — out of the 100’s of feeds to which I subscribe, only these two have “gone dead” to SharpReader while still functioning as pages.
The first works in my aggregator, but probably isn’t working in yours because he has an invalid character in one of his posts, which is breaking the feed’s validation. http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.badarchitecture.org%2Fwp-rss2.php
The second doesn’t work in mine, but is suffering from a similar problem. He is also using an outdated feed URL and the new one should be /wp-rss2.php, not b2rss2.php.
