This is a really good search, and thanks so much.

It seems that when a word is followed by a semi-colon it is found, but not highlighted.

Here’s an example of text being searched:

“or prevents bacterial infections, including staphylococcus; the corticosteroid betamethasone reduces”

When i search for “staphylococcus” (qotes not part of search), the posts are found and the word appears in the excerpt, but it is not highlighted. However, if i search for “staph” or “staphylococcu” (quotes not part of search), the search term gets highlighted.

The highlighting code tries to prevent highlighting inside HTML entities (which start with a & and end up with a semicolon). That’s being too effective here and blocking highlighting all words that end up with a semicolon. I’ll see what I can do to fix this in the next version.

Ok, looks like I figured it out; this too will be fixed in the next version.
