Why do I get an error like this in the WordPress dashboard when I update a plugin? And why does it only happen intermittently?

Update Failed: <!DOCTYPE html> 503 Backend fetch failed Error 503 Backend fetch failed Backend fetch failed Guru Meditation: XID: 287594836 Varnish cache server

    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @saycey

It seems might be Varnish Cache configuration issue.

Firstly let us try at Worpdpress level.

Try to deactivate all the Plugins and switch to Default theme.

If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks.
