500 Internal Service Error

    Hello everyone if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. My site recently stopped appearing when users tried accessing it from search engine results. The are getting the 500 Internal Service Error.

    This issue seems to affect all web browsers with the exception of IOS Safari and Google Chrome.

    Troubleshooting that I have done is as follows: I have virus scanned all files and removed one bug but that did not fix the issue. I have checked all file permissions to make sure they are correct. And I have tried re-uploading the 3.6 update.

    None of these have worked so far any other ideas?

    Have you asked your hosting company about this? Also ask them how to access the server error logs to see any more specific info about these errors.

    Thanks ill look into this. Anything in particular I should be looking for in the error logs?

    have you tried to reset your permalink structure??

    if your main page still appear, but all of the other page redirect you to 500 internal server error, try to reset your permalink structure…

    go to wp-admin -> setting -> permalink..
    and choose save setting…
