Works fine, now: http://www.thekellikollection.com …Chicken Barley Soup looks good 🙂
A 500 Internal Server Error is a generic error message, given when an unexpected condition was encountered and no more specific message is suitable or situation is known.Hi NeoTechnomad, thank you for helping. It looks like when I go to the website it works, but when I try to click on a page or post it goes to the service error again. Same happens when I try to go to my admin page. The soup is delicious! 🙂
Internal server errors (error 500) are often caused by plugin or theme function conflicts, so if you have access to your admin panel, try deactivating all plugins. If you don’t have access to your admin panel, try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue. If you don’t have access to your admin panel, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to
/wp-content/themes/and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue. If that does not resolve the issue, it’s possible that a
.htaccessrule could be the source of the problem. To check for this, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and rename the.htaccessfile. If you can’t find a.htaccessfile, make sure that you have set your SFTP or FTP client to view invisible files. If you weren’t able to resolve the issue by either resetting your plugins and theme or renaming your .htaccess file, we may be able to help, but we’ll need a more detailed error message. Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred during that time period. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.
Hi James,
Thank you for your help! I have realized that it is working just fine on other computers, but only on mine is the internal service error still coming up. Do you know why this may be? I can’t get to the admin panel, but on my work computer I could. I also have an apple mac just like the one at work. Thanks!
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting https://whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
Hi James,
I went to the website and it did say my Chrome was up to date. I am using version 47.0.2526.106. I tried clearing my caches and cookies and also doing so when I disabled my extensions. In each step I waited while they cleared for the past 4 weeks and then tried to go to my admin page and still gave me the internal service error.Thank you for helping!

Ok, we’ll need a more detailed error message. Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.
I’m not sure how to find the server error log. I will have to contact Bluehost.
They’ll know for sure. 🙂
