I am working on a site and recently ran into an issue in which the plugin causes another area of the site to return a 500 error when downloading a file. The file (.csv) downloads fine when the plugin is not active but for some reason does not work when the plugin is active. The report being downloaded takes a start and end date and will download when the dates are close together (smaller size file). I was using an older version of the plugin and updated to the newest (2.79) with the same results. I have also recently updated the WP core to 5.1.1 and am using PHP 5.3.29. I am not receiving any errors in the logs. I have also tried IE, Chrome, and Mozilla with the same results. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Thanks for your report. I regret the trouble you are having with downloading the .csv files. You don’t say specifically how the download process works so I can’t tell if MLA is directly involved.

Problems like this one are most often caused by memory limitations; I can’t think of another cause. Deactivating MLA will reduce memory requirements and avoid the problem, as would deactivating some other plugin your site.

You can find more information and some suggested fixes in this earlier topic:

Urgent: New update creating blank screen!

I hope that gives you the information you need to address the problem. If not, you can post an update and I will investigate further. Please note that I am traveling until 6/20 and I will not have access to the Internet until I return home. Thanks for your understanding, your patience and your interest in the plugin.

    David,

Thank you for the quick response to this! I have determined it is not strictly related to MLA. I performed performed additional test in which I left MLA active and disabled all the other plugins on the site and it worked again. I believe you are correct in regards to the memory limitation. Thank you for your help and my apologies on this one!
