• I just upgraded to 4.4 and noticed that the infopopups are just displaying in their shortcodes. I use the shortcodes inside TablePress.

I have read previous topics and have disabled other plugins to no avail. It stopped working as soon as I upgraded WordPress so it seems that’s the culprit… but happy to try other suggestions.

    Thanks

    Hi Robbo

This was brought to my attention earlier today and I am going to look at getting this fixed in the next few days.

    Apologies for the inconvenience meanwhile.

    Any update on this? Thanks

    Hi Robbo and Billy

Apologies for the delay but there is now an update that should address the issues faced after updating to v4.4.

    Where you previously used:
    [infopopup:mytag]

You will need to change this (in WP4.4. and above) to:
    [infopopup tag=mytag]

As the README states, we have already been informed that there may be an incompatability between this new version of the plugin and reCAPTCHA by BestWebSoft, which I will look into as soon as I’m able.

Other suggestions and feedback will be looked at in early 2016 when we will making the plugin a bit more full-featured.

    Chris.

    Excellent, all working now.

    Many thanks Chris!

Thanks so much for jumping on this right away, Chris. Had same issue as Robbo, read this thread and now the popups work perfectly! As a non-techy in charge of our site, I love it when something technical gets fixed so easily…and so quickly.

    Linda 🙂

Having issues on my site after upgrading to 4.4. The popups stopped working entirely then I fixed all the tags (changed from infopopup:namehere to infopopup tag=namehere). The popups came back however some of them show up most of the way down the page now – the position is coming through as top:2998 instead of top:~700-800. On those specific, random popups (random it seems as I can’t find any difference between these and the ones that are working) the custom fields for placement of the popup do not work and they still go to top:2998 regardless.

    Help please?

If anyone has quite a few instances of infopopups, as we did, here’s an easy way to update all at once.

Use the “Better Search Replace” plugin (one of the most handy plugins out there), and do a find/replace for:

    Find:
    [infopopup:
    Replace with:
    [infopopup tag=

and select the wp “posts” table. Viola! every instance of infopopups on the site will be updated at once and will work again. Hope this helps.

Thanks for helpful hint re. plugin, Jon.
punctuatedart: Sorry I have no ideas to help you. My 6 plugins work fine with the new tag= and show up on the page where they’re supposed to. Hope someone can help you figure out the problem. 🙁
