    I have a number of sites in Wordfence central that are currently showing the connection issue error:

    We received a non-200 HTTP code when connecting to your site: 414.

    The response body was

    Clicking retry site connection shows the error: The server encountered an error processing your request.

    I’ve tried removing sites from Wordfence Central but after re-adding them I get the same 414 error.

    Hi @ccpau,

    Can you check Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic, and search for the specific row where the 414 occurs? (Tell me the URL that was requested)

    Please also check access_log (if you have access to this log file) and see if you can find the 414 http code within that file.

    This relates to an extremely long URI that is requested to your server, and I want to know what the request looks like.

    Hi Dave,

    I was unable to find any 414 HTTP Responses in Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic for any of the affected sites. I tried deleting the Wordfence plugin on a few sites and reinstalling. On a few sites even with no data in Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic and a new install, I am still getting a 414 error.
