Installed this plugin in a fresh install of wordpress, created a test shortened url, all I get is 404’s

Have you read the how to ?

==> Do you use a custom permalinks schema ?

I have read the how to, I chose Numeric permalinks in place of the defaults, neither the two sample wordpress pages that short url has created short urls for or the couple of external url redirects work, both return a 404. The install of the plugin seems fairly straight forward is there something else I should have done?

Could you please provide me an example page ?

The numeric permalinks should be enough normally

Even you page http://u.msngr.com/archives/7 are 404 … thus I believe that your server have some issues

Found it, apache2’s apach2.conf has AllowOverride set to None, amended it to All, works a treat.
