404 Errors when editing a page?

    Bit of a strange one this, I am getting some fairly random 404 errors when trying to update pages and widgets.

    Only one page is affected, the only difference between this page and other pages is that it claims that there is a more up-to-date autosave. Can someone advise please. Should I hack the database and remove this autosave to see if this does the trick or is there another method.

    There is also a problem with updating widgets, widgets are created fine… updating them takes me to widgets.php and a 404 error.

    There are no errors. Just isn’t working. Any ideas?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
