have you ever uploaded via media upload a file with that name, sometimes one over writes the slug of another
Interesting…let me see. I will now check for that.
I do have the photo which I loaded into the post with the same title. I will change the title of pic and see if it makes a difference.
I just changed the title of the photo on the post from Microsoft Security Essentials to Laptop2. And then I googled the article title to pull up the article and got same results.???
you have to delete the file then resave the post then reload your photo.
the slugs dont drop off easily
cool…thx, I will set to work on that now and get back to you about it.

By file, you do mean the photo file right and not the post file right?
I have to re-save the post? By this do you mean update the post?
Thanks,
-Dan
yeah delet the photo from the media library, and from the post, then update the post with the right slug, make sure it works, then re upload the photo, probably rename it first
Great…I will do that now! π
Hey Friend,
I must be leaving something out. I deleted the pic and then reloaded it into the post article with a different title from my post title (now the pic is titled: New Laptop) but the alternative text I have left same as before “Microsoft Security Essentials” for SEO purposes.
Also, I anchor texted the caption as Pic by afroswede. The a href is: Microsoft Security Essentials. This all for on-page SEO.
???
Forgot to state that I got the same results.
did you check if you got the same results after you deleted the photo?
your photo now links to
http://aboutinternetetc.com/security-with-microsoft-security-essentials/new-laptop/
but that might not be what the file is saved as if the title of the photo is still the same when you upload it
i went to the front page and did a search and nothing links to the .html page, where are you getting this link?
I do still get the same error after deleting the pic and updating the page for changes to take effect. I also deleted the cache after making and saving changes.
The error shows up after doing a google search in quotes on the article title: “Internet Security with Microsoft Security Essentials”.
Am using WordPress SEO Yoast and set the permalinks to “Custom Structure” with http://aboutinternetetc.com /%postname%/ specified for setting.
