    V.2.7.26 (PRO)

    I’m getting a double ‘403: forbidden’
    The API says ‘NOT CONNECTED’

I’ve confirmed my cURL version is 7.45.0
I can cURL in just fine and get a full response in JSON
I’m not blacklisted on any of the major lists
MailChimp tells me they don’t have my account listed as delinquent

I have tried installing the latest free version of the plugin, which does not give a 403, but still shows ‘NOT CONNECTED’ for the API.

I’m guessing this started with WP 4.6 update but haven’t noticed until now.

While troubleshooting, I’ve attempted to install 4 other Mailchimp plugins, all which give me some kind of error and cannot connect with the API.

Mailchimp tells me it’s not on their end… what the hell.

Maybe I should open another ticket for this … but using the Most up to date Free version of the plugin, the Plugin tells me

    ‘MailChimp returned the following error:
    Service Unavailable.’

    Hello @muskosan,

If you have an active license to our premium plugin you can contact us directly via https://mc4wp.com/contact/.

If you have the latest version of our plugin installed, can you please go to the “MailChimp for WP > Others” page and let us know what errors are listed?

Also, please check https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/. We have provided some debugging steps that you could try on your server.

I am having the same issue debug log shows nothing: — Nothing here. Which means there are no errors!

Tried creating a new API. It initially woulnd’t change the API. So I deleted the API, which worked (deleting the API that is), then added the new one. Still get the “service unavailable” and “not connected” though.

Also, it seems that signups through the “subscribe” button still update my list at mailchimp.com, but commenters who select “join mailing list” through the comments do not get added now. (they did previously)

@harish change of plans – the client doesn’t want to repurchase a Pro license, so we’re going to move forward with the free version.

I’m going to open a new ticket with proper topic to keep things as clear as possible.

    Hi gavinswordpress3,

Please open your own thread as it can be messy to solve different problems for different people in 1 forum thread.

Before you open your own thread, please go trough the steps on https://mc4wp.com/kb/solving-connectivity-issues/.

If possible, try to run the cURL command manually or ask you hosting provider to do that ant tell us the output (deleting any private info if needed), that is the most sureway of finding out what is wrong.
