• Hi all,

Since yesterday i am facing this problem, whenever I am trying to save a draft of a post it is giving “403 Forbidden” (this is the url :http://www.xyz.com/wp-admin/post.php to which it is redirected and showing this error message.).

I tried DE-activating all my plugins that also didn’t work for me.

NOTE: If the total word count is less that 400 then it is working fine i.e. i am able to save the draft but as soon as I increase the word count i am unable to save the draft. Even I am not able to publish the post.

    Please help.

    Please help me asap.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lokesh

  • Can you replicate the issue with the default WordPress theme with all plugins off?

That i am not going to try at all because I loose a lot my settings and it takes a lot of time to reset all the settings back in place.

Moreover, this error has started coming from yesterday only it never happened earlier. So, please suggest something else.

Finally the last word count is 419 that it is accepting.

No you won’t. Any half-decent plugin will have stored any settings in your database. Your theme settings are also stored. There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Do you want to locate and, hopefully, fix the problem on your site? If “yes”, then please help us to help you and carry out the changes that we suggest.

As Esmi said that shouldn’t happen. But if you want to play it safe (safe is good right?) then make a complete backup of you installation before you temporarily deactivate your plugins and switch to the Twenty Twelve theme.

In case you do have some badly written plugins or theme then you can put it all back by restoring that backup.

Also as you do value your installation you probably want to make backups anyways. 😉
