403 error resolution

    Just sharing this to help other people. I was getting a 403 error (https://www.screencast.com/t/urXuCizQbjp) with Stealth Mode Lite checked. I noticed because all my traffic in GA was shown as direct. I looked at some past similar issues in this forum, checked my folder permissions for the uploads/caos/ folder (https://www.screencast.com/t/8aIVIKGFK) but they looked okay.

    Then I did a little Googling and saw that the 6G Firewall can cause 403 errors with other plugins. I use Gridpane for this site and have 6G Firewall active. So I tried it with the 6G Firewall off, and the 403 error is gone.

    As I understand it, I’d have to whitelist my server IP in the firewall for this error to disappear, but for now I think I’ll just keep the firewall on and uncheck Stealth Mode Lite (doing it this way there is also no 403 error). Does Stealth Mode really make that big a difference in GA data?
