403 error – forbidden

    Hello, I’m suddenly getting 403 error on my website easy2investinproperty.com

    I can access the website and log in. It has been hacked previously, nearly a year ago and had someone fix it and they installed WP Security plugin.

    What can I do to get it working again?

    Hi,

    You can check the permissions of the files and folders of the site and make sure that others can read. Take a look at the .htaccess and make sure that there is no restriction there. Also, you can deactivate the security plugin or check it’s settings in order to see whether it’s denying access to others. Hope that helps 🙂

    same here, my website forbidden, i changed nameservers on godaddy, to cloudflare nameservers. now can’t access wp-admin page.

    Please could you tell me which files and where I could find them? Should I use ftp? Can I post the .htaccess content here?

    Yup, you can check the permissions on files and folders via an FTP client but I suggest always checking the .htaccess first in cases like this one.

    However, I can see that the site is visible and 403 is gone. Can you confirm this?

    Yes, thank you. All I did was updated WP and all plugins 🙂
