403 error driving me crazy

I’ve just moved over a wordpress blog from root/wordpress/ to root/. I’m getting a 403 error now when trying to save an edited page. The database is updated but i get 403 afterward. it seems like my whole root is chmodd’d to 755, files and folders. Doing some research, i found the little snippet of code to add to the .htaccess, didn’t work for me.

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Like many others, this is my only support source.
